Assistance Available to Those Impacted by Recent Tornadoes
Our thoughts are with the people in the Southeast United States who have been affected by recent tornadoes. As you and they work to regain a sense of normalcy, we will help you and your policyholders in the following ways:
o ALABAMA: Genworth will extend grace periods or late payment offer periods on policies that lapsed or will lapse between April 27, 2011 and May 27, 2011, if the policyholder provides payment by May 27, 2011. This exception will also apply to annuity contracts with monthly payments (for example RetireReady, GE Retirement Answer).
o GEORGIA (Counties of: Bartow, Butts, Catoosa, Cherokee, Coweta, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Greene, Habersham, Haralson, Harris, Heard, Lamar, Lumpkin, Meriwether, Monroe, Morgan, Newton, Pickens, Polk, Rabun, Spalding, Troup, Upson, Walker and White): Genworth will extend grace periods or late payment offer periods on policies that lapsed or will lapse between April 27, 2011 and June 1, 2011 if the policyholder provides payment by June 1, 2011. This exception will also apply to annuity contracts with monthly payments (for example RetireReady, GE Retirement Answer).
