Temporarily Discontinued

In response to the continuing challenges of today’s interest rate environment and overall fluctuating market conditions, Legacy is temporarily discontinuing American National Insurance Company’s BenchMark 500^SM Ten SE 5 fixed indexed annuity and BenchMark Reliance^SM Extra 6 fixed annuity until further notice. This change is effective Friday, August 19, 2011, and does not impact pending applications or additional premiums on existing contracts. New applications must be received by Dell by end of day, Thursday, August 18, 2011.
